Aarvind  Hyanki is  appointed as the New Aayukt (commissioner) of kumaon Region of Uttarakhand.

Uttarakhand divided into two Mandals in kumaon and Gagarhwal . kumaon mandal has six districts and Garhwal mandal has seven districts. Pithoragarh,  Bageshwar, Almora, Champawat, Nainital and  Udham Singh Nager are in kumaon Region. Uttarkashi,Chamoli,Rudraprayag, Pauri ,Tehri, Dehradoon and Haridwar are in Garhwal Region.
